Job Purpose

To manage the SAP related processes at a divisional level, within the supply chain function covering: a) Import, b) Job-work/subcontracting execution, c) inventory management
while contributing towards procurement of raw materials for the business

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end SAP related processes for the division; includes timely management of Pos, GR, inventory, vendor billing, and reconciliation.

Oversee the subcontracting (job-work) process in SAP — material issued to vendor, vendor production tracking, GR of processed goods, and stock reconciliation at vendor locations.

Maintain real-time accuracy of material master, vendor master, and BOM data critical to production and costing.

Plan and execute procurement of raw materials (steel, copper) in line with production schedules, ensuring optimal inventory levels — balancing working capital exposure against supply continuity.

Coordinate with international suppliers/traders on order placement, price negotiation, delivery schedules, and quality specifications.

Ensure procurement transactions (PO creation, amendments, GR) are accurately reflected in SAP and reconcile against actual receipts.

Act as the business SPOC for IT implementation (D365 or any other), representing business process requirements to the IT implementation team.

Supervise & authorize tasks as directed by Manager

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; MBA in Operations/Supply Chain is an added advantage.

SAP MM certification preferred.

Educational qualification criteria can be relaxed in lieu of extensive domain / hands-on experience

Desired Profile (Experience)

5–8 years of overall SCM/operations experience, including direct exposure to raw material procurement (preferably steel, copper, or other commodity/metal imports).

Strong hands-on SAP MM exposure in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with import (LC, BOE) and export (Shipping Bill, LUT) documentation flows as they interface with ERP is a strong plus.

Industry Preference
