Job Purpose
Lead physical trading for the Aluminium and other non-ferrous scrap and secondary Aluminium product business
Key Responsibilities
- Expand customer base, and achieve targets in terms of volumes, turnover, and margins.
- Develop and drive/expand sales/trading channels for the business in India
- Provide support for India-linked businesses, - support the team with sales network and processes/coordination with finance/operations for smooth business execution.
- Contribute to the team by providing regular market insights, research, and intelligence; representing TIL in conferences (India and overseas) and industry forums, as and when required.
- Establishing and enhancing performance on customer service parameters
- Support the development of new products
- Maintain Good supplier relationships with scrapyards in Europe, Middle East, US and other scrap origin.
- Track record of independently trading scraps, including purchasing, selling, contract management, quality/claim management and related operations.
Educational Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor's Degree/ Degree /Diploma in Marketing would be preferred
Desired Profile (Experience)
- Should have at least 7-10 years of experience in marketing/sales of Aluminium Scrap and secondary Aluminium products.
- Must possess a good customer base in the aluminum scrap and secondary aluminium industry.
- Good working knowledge and experience in base metals hedging in LME and MCX, specifically related to scrap products.
- Functional – good understanding of contracting
- Conversant to work in IT-driven autonomous systems.
- Customer orientation and customer relationship building/maintenance.
- Communication skills in English and Hindi
- Commercially savvy
- Result-oriented
- Ability to work with multi-cultural stakeholders
