Job Purpose

To manage all matters pertaining to Customs regulation and Foreign Trade Policy

Key Responsibilities

• Regular Custom Updates (Study the notifications & advise business on the process changes to be followed)
• Update the business on changes/introductions on Foreign Trade Policy
• Support Business CFO’s on foreign trade policy at the time of new business development involving imports & exports.
• Ensure and monitor compliances of foreign trade rules for all imports and exports.
• Represent before Govt. authorities on behalf of company on need basis i.e Premises Based Audit, DRI summons/notices, show cause notices.
• Ensure all the benefits pertaining to Advance Authorization, Duty Drawback & such other benefits are appropriately claimed and well documented.
• Liasoning & maintaining professional relationship with Custom authorities at major ports.
• Identify opportunities for businesses under Customs & Foreign Trade Policy for maximizing benefits.
• Study existing SOP’s & recommend changes to ensure proper compliances & documentation.
• Support businesses to conclude Final assessment at Customs
• Manage old DEPB/EPGC cases

Educational Qualifications

Graduate in International/Foreign trade or any discipline with practical experience in as given in desired profile

Desired Profile (Experience)

Candidate having sound knowledge of Custom laws & foreign trade policies and well versed with latest amendment/Circulars with a minimum of 8-12 years of experience in handling custom related matters for any MNC/ large Indian corporate and/or experience of working in big custom house agents. Candidates should have experience of handling import consignments of Agri commodities/Coal from Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar and African countries
