Job Purpose

To execute Charter Party contract and perform post fixture operations and related administrative work

Key Responsibilities

• On completion of Fixture by commercial team, all Post Fixture planning and operations of all aspects of the voyage (Voyage Charter and Time Charter) ranging from understanding the contract / charter party and executing the voyage seamlessly

• Communication with external stakeholders – owners, charterers, brokers, traders and internal stakeholders – Sales Team, Chartering Desk, Operations Desk and Finance Team

• Monitor vessels daily performance at sea and in port to minimize delays, claims and/or disputes

• Preparation of cargo stowage plan and bunkers calculations – Voyage Planning and sharing with all concerend stakeholders

• Preparation and follow up on freight payments and hire payments

• Support reporting managers to handle and settle claims together with commercial and legal teams

• Coordinating with internal stakeholders in preparation of OBLs in line with LC requirements, preparation of LOI, checking SOFs and daily vessel / agent reports

• Perform laytime calculations and raise laytime statements and ensure timely payments on freight, charter hire, demurrage and other outstanding debts

• Manage loading and discharging operations to ensure quick turnaround time in port

• Maintain governance and other operational related reports

Educational Qualifications

Diploma / Degree / Certificate in Maritime / ICS Qualifying Exam / MBA in Shipping, Logistics, International Trade from a recognised institute

Desired Profile (Experience)

• 3-5 years of experience as a Post Fixture Operator dealing with Dry Bulk cargoes (Coal, Iron Ore, Agri Products, Steel Products etc) in Capes, Panamax, Supra and/or Handy sized vessels

• Good knowledge and understanding of Dry Bulk Shipping

• Experience with the IMOS integrated (or equivalent) voyage handling system an advantage but not mandatory

• Experience with D/A Desk Module an advantage but not mandatory

Industry Preference

Cargo and Ship Brokers Desk / Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Vessel Agency Services with exposure to different types of commodities – Steel Products, Coal, Iron Ore, Sponge Iron, Wheat, Rice, Pulses etc.
