Job Purpose

Responsible to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of a robust and secure network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability,

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and wireless networks
• Configuring and installing various network devices and services like Routers, Switches, Firewalls, SD WAN, Proxy Server, Load Balancers, Wifi Access Point, VPN, QoS). Managing and maintaining the perimeter security (DMZ) as per the industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of various routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, ILL, P2P and MPLS are mandatory with good understanding of different disaster recovery, diverse and resilient network solution. Strong understanding of various switching protocols like STP, RSTP, VLAN, HSRP, VRRP, VTP etc. are mandatory.
• Strong understanding of various tunnels like GRE, IPSEC and Network Address Translation (NAT), Access control lists (ACL) is Mandatory.
• Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, performing network maintenance, scheduling upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
• Interface with ISP and carriers to install/commission/test new circuits and/or troubleshoot existing circuits.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security framework.
• Liaise with various network vendors, partners, and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Ensuring accurate recording of all cases using ticket management tool and closing within agreed timeframes. Managing and maintaining network backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Developing and maintaining network documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, and policies
• Maintaining audit related compliances. Respond to all system and/or network security breaches. Auditing and assessing all aspects of the company’s network applications, including security, and communications.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Any Networking certifications been an added advantage like CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued)

Desired Profile (Experience)

• 6-8 years of experience in similar function
• Experience in IT organization or within IT function would be preferred.
