Job Purpose

The job holder shall focus on developing the team entrusted with, in selling of vehicles to customers. He/She shall work with various stake holders to create solutions, ensure adherence to the sales process from point of enquiry to delivery. Build strong customer base in the territory assigned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the team to grow the customer base and achieve market share targets by meeting new sales Volumes and Revenue Target.
  • Conduct sales activities through sales calls, fact finding, Market Activities, presentation selling, closing deals and ensuring pre and post-sales support to our valued customers.
  • Identifying, acquiring and managing Major Customers.
  • Guide the structuring of complex sales transactions including large quantities of range of trucks through trade-in packages, finance, and ancillary offerings.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to grow the sales and achieving Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Targets.
  • Meet assigned revenue targets with assigned accounts.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to results by providing frequent market and sales forecasts, and reporting on sales activities and results.
  • Ensure that client issues are dealt with and resolved in an efficient manner, informing necessary stakeholders of any issues while working diligently to solve problems.
  • Ensure compliance with company sales, management, and financial policy requirements.
  • Ensures Sales process, KYC documentation and credit application documentation compliance for self and assigned team.
  • Records sales data, invoicing and delivery status & feedback reports on product.
  • Represent Tata Uganda Limited to customers through internal interaction with service, parts, financial services, accounting and remarketing departments and other local and national stakeholders as and when needed.
  • Submits the reports required by the line manager in a timely manner for self and team whether daily, weekly or monthly. Includes daily call report, weekly visit report, monthly activity plan and report on plan vs execution, plan and schedule quarterly meetings with senior management of the customer, pipeline report and other such reports that may be required by the line manager.
  • Provide all relevant information to the Line Manager for a complete understanding of deals to ensure maximum success.
  • Conduct product knowledge training for team members, customers and dealers where required.
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time by the management.
  • Penetrate new markets & business opportunities; Provides market intelligence to the Line Manager.
  • Develop the Geography assigned by conducting sales promotional activities.
  • Carries out any other duties as directed by Line Manager.

Educational Qualifications

  • Degree in Sales and Marketing

Desired Profile (Experience)

  • ? Proven experience as sales rep. ? Excellent knowledge of products and relevant industry. ? Very good communication skills ? A problem-solving ability ? Having a valid driver’s license and clean driving record ? Driving manual cars and pickups
  • 6+ years relevant experience in marketing and sales
