Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing all welding operations within a manufacturing facility, ensuring quality, safety, and production goals are consistently met. This role involves supervising welding teams, managing schedules and resources, maintaining equipment, and driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the welding team, providing guidance and training to ensure high-quality welds and a safe working environment.
Oversee all welding processes, including planning, scheduling, and implementing quality control measures.
Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to address issues and support continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (such as AWS, ASME, ISO) and company policies.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for the welding shop.
Identify equipment maintenance needs and work to minimize downtime through proactive planning.
Implement best practices in welding operations and stay updated with technological advancements in the field.
Maintain documentation for welding procedures, safety protocols, and production records.
Foster a collaborative and motivated work culture, addressing team performance and development.

Educational Qualifications

B. Tech (Mechanical/Automobile/Production) and/or a professional qualification in Operations management/MBA

Desired Profile (Experience)

Candidate having a minimum of 12-15 years of experience in handling Weld Shop for similar industry in India

Industry Preference

Bicycle
