Title:  Manager - Maintenance

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance Planning & Execution

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance plans for Press shop, Weld Shop, ETP, PT Line & Paint Shop.
• Ensure minimum downtime and maximum equipment availability.
• Monitor daily maintenance activities and ensure adherence to schedules.

2. Shop-Specific Maintenance Oversight

Press Shop

• Maintain mechanical and hydraulic presses and die systems.
• Ensure die protection systems and press automation are functioning optimally.
• Monitor lubrication systems and safety interlocks.

Weld Shop

• Maintain robotic/manual welding systems, fixtures, and conveyors.
• Ensure uptime of PLCs, robots, welding guns, and power sources.
• Monitor weld quality issues related to equipment performance.

Pretreatment (PT)

• Maintain chemical dosing systems, pumps, and spray systems.
• Ensure proper functioning of tanks, pipelines, and heat exchangers.
• Monitor chemical parameters and process consistency.

Paint Shop

• Oversee maintenance of paint booths, ovens, conveyors, and air handling units (AHU).
• Maintain electrostatic painting systems and curing ovens.
• Ensure environmental controls (temperature, humidity, dust).

ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant)

• Ensure continuous operation of ETP systems as per pollution control norms.
• Maintain pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filters, and dosing systems.
• Monitor water treatment quality and sludge handling systems.

3. Team Management

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Plan manpower deployment across shifts and critical areas.
• Conduct training on safety, equipment handling, and troubleshooting.

4. Reliability & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major breakdowns.
• Implement TPM, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Improve MTBF and reduce MTTR across all equipment.

5. Budget & Cost Control

• Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets.
• Optimize spare parts inventory and reduce maintenance costs.
• Manage AMCs, vendor contracts, and service providers.

6. Safety, Compliance & Environment

• Ensure compliance with statutory norms (Pollution Control Board, safety regulations).
• Enforce safe maintenance practices and permit systems.
• Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure proper functioning and compliance of ETP and emission systems.

7. Coordination & Projects

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Projects teams.
• Support installation, commissioning, and ramp-up of new equipment.
• Drive automation and digitization initiatives (Industry 4.0 where applicable).
