Job Purpose
To manage all imports and exports related activities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire order process for all imports & Exports with an understanding of overseas suppliers
- Costing & posting of all purchases  offshore sales & verification of customer/supplier invoices
- Closely monitor and manage the import & export time frames to ensure minimum shipping times and maximum efficiencies are achieved within acceptable parameters
- Handling and coordinating all the logistics for assigned divisions, & ensure proper team management, speedy resolution of conflicts within the team and ensure there is team cohesion at all times
- Monitor the shipments and customs clearance process and clearly communicating delays to the appropriate parties
- Assemble all details, routing instructions, tariff codes for all shipments and furnish the vendor with the details with submission of correct documents for clearance on goods
- Doing landed Costing for all products and Recognizing offshore sales into the system thus follow up documentation for cross border shipments
- Liaise with finance department to ensure prompt payment of duties for shipments & suppliers
- Verification and approving of all invoices from clearing agents for payment as per the agreement to ensure they align with the budget allocated
- Risk and regulatory compliance management and informing the management and suppliers of new regulation and implemented
- Negotiating services for 3rd and 4th party logistics ranging from transport both for RORO, bulk, courier and local distribution
- Liaising with marketing and sales and other relevant departments for orders and deliveries
- Managing/maintaining warehouse stocks by maintain minimum re-order level by ensuring the buffer stock is sufficient.
- Advising various parties on the new Incoterms and regulation of various products and their requirements.
- Booking of inspection and dispatch from origin depending on the terms and coordination of all necessary documentation with relevant parties
- Constantly review freight costings to ensure the organization is getting the best possible
- Any other work as assigned by the supervisor
